Animal vote - November!
You guys! It's time to vote! Warm up your ballot fingers and make your voice count in this Fall's most riveting election: Who will be the next Berkley Illustration animal in a suit?
Leave a comment after this post declaring the animal (just one, please) you need to see in a suit . The first round of votes will close October 28th (Tuesday). Then we'll have a vote-off of the top contenders and the winner will be available to purchase in early November. It's time to think about that holiday gift giving so you can even vote for your secret santa's favorite animal if you like.
Please, no specific dog/cat breeds. We're still sticking to that rule lest every dog in the universe gets mentioned. And guess what? We mega-love pets so you can't say we're being snotty.
BONUS! NEW! We're going to give away an 8x10" print at random to one of you snazzy voters. You can pick the winning animal or you can pick one of the oldies. We'll put all the voters' names in a hat (or maybe a bowl) and draw a winner when all the voting rounds are done. Make sure we have your email address when you vote!
May the best animal win!

LOVE your work! I already have an owl. :)
I vote for a crane.
Thx. Kristin

I think the unicorn is a fabulous idea, but I'd also like to see a gorilla. Gorilla Grodd.

I second the sloth:3
First time I'm not voting for a dino, heh.
A side note, people keep asking me what my cardinal bird pin means on my jacket. Does it have to mean something?! I'm always like, "Uhh....I like cardinals and I like the artist?" I should tell them I belong to a secret society and it's out secret symbol, animals in suits^_~

I still vote for the marmoset... and if you are a smart person, you will, too. They are just too damn cute for words.

I mean Manatee.......Guess I've never spelled that before!
Posted by: Anna Haberlach | October 23, 2008 at 08:06 PM
I'd like a coyote.

Orangutan!

A baby elephant! Or a grown one. . .this is completely bipartisan, by the way. Elephants are just cool.

My vote goes for the Aye-Aye. http://tinyurl.com/6rbs8t

Billy Goat. Though I totally see a unicorn there.

A meercat would be awesome.
But I also agree with Stela and Grant- unicorns are super sexy. But what about a unicorn in an 80s prom dress? Or a airbrush t-shirt with a unicorn on it?
Posted by: nessies | October 23, 2008 at 09:35 PM
Oooo, what about a red panda? They're so danged cute, one in a suit or dress would be fab!
Posted by: Brenda | October 23, 2008 at 09:52 PM
I'm gonna have to go with the unicorn as well. Love the prom dress idea.
Posted by: Poppy | October 23, 2008 at 09:55 PM
I vote for Mr and Mrs SKUNK!!!!

I think a swordfish would look smashing in a pinstripe suit!
Posted by: Sara | October 24, 2008 at 05:26 AM
Wouldn't a seahorse look so dignified, though!
Posted by: Tanya | October 24, 2008 at 05:48 AM
I totally second the gorilla.
